RedBear Blend (Atmega32U4 + Nordic NRFC8001 BLE)

I just ordered a Blend, which has Atmega32U4 and Nordic NRFC8001 BLE for an e-bike project.

The primary functions it will perform are monitoring 60V Li battery voltage and current,  interface with a DC 0-4.5V throttle pot and PWC MOSFET motor power controller, and report these to an android app via bluetooth 4.0 as well as accept commands from the app.

ReadBear suggests using Bluetooth low energy SDK for Arduino to support the BLE

The Arduino programming language is an implementation of Wiring, a similar physical computing platform, which is based on the Processing multimedia programming environment.

The software for the BLE shield for Arduino is based on the nRF8001 SDK and is ported to Arduino-compatible libraries. The BLE shield for Arduino libraries and instructions are currently available for download from GitHub...

Is there any possible reason not to use Wiring instead of Nordic SDK?

Thank you
