Already available at rei-vilo/embedNetBeansProject

This is only a showcase to test the makefiles.

Now, NetBeans experts can build a nice template!  ;)

Thanks, seems indeed "more powerful". Could you look briefly at what it would take to add LPCxpresso to the gang ? I know nothing at Netbeans.

BTW, looking at the sample, don't you think that some text such as

// Core library
#if defined (__AVR_ATmega328P__) || defined (__AVR_ATmega2560__) // Arduino specific
#include "Arduino.h"
#elif defined(__PIC32MX__) // chipKIT specific
#include "WProgram.h"
#elif defined(__AVR_ATmega644P__) // Wiring specific
#include "Wiring.h"
#elif defined(__MSP430G2452__) || defined(__MSP430G2553__) || defined(__MSP430G2231__) // LaunchPad specific
#include "Energia.h"
#endif

should be "hidden" in the scripts, instead of required in each and every sketch ?

BTW, there are other arduinos than Mega2560 and 328P : there are also 1280, 1284, 168, etc.

My vision is to consider sketches as standard C++ programs.

No more fairy tales about " Writing a sketch is not programming. "

And no more dirty work done in secret by the IDE ;)

Keep in mind this is a template: users could add the boards they're actually using.

I'll be glad to include other boards, but I prefer to test them first to maintain a high level of quality.
